Starting May 17, 2016, Ray Russell began a 469-mile journey--running the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway in 23 days. When finished, he became only the second person to every run the entire Parkway in consecutive days. To prepare for the event, he learned much about the history of the Parkway. Besides the physical feat, Ray's goal was to explore and celebrate every twist, turn, nook, and cranny of the Blue Ridge Parkway and document it with photos, videos, blog posts, and on social media.
Ray's talk will share stories from the road, show photos and videos from the run, and tell us historical details about "America's Favorite Drive". More information on the run can be found at RelayWithRay.Com.
